Government Waste

Government waste needs to be monitored and eliminated. Too often the government makes expenditures that take on a life of their own. Mega-bills in Congress have a tendency to encourage pork-barrel spending. Too many hidden costs are buried in the budget.
There are numerous areas where government contractors are over-billing the American taxpayers. Examples of this can be seen in agriculture, the military and transportation based industries. They create costs where they do not exist. Even local governments often propose projects that may not be needed in order to make sure they get a piece of the Federal pie. This doesn't help us as a Nation. It only adds to our national debt.
We suggest a team of accountants at the GAO (Government Accounting Office) be assigned to evaluate spending and cut government waste.
